Currently, the Uffizi Gallery maintains a fixed opening schedule:
Tuesday to Sunday: From 8:15 to 18:30.
Free admission: November 4 and the first Sunday of each month.
When planning your visit to the Uffizi Gallery, keep in mind that at 18:30 visitors are invited to head to the exit. While on Tuesdays, closing operations will begin at 21:30. Therefore, it is advisable to arrive with enough time to enjoy the experience without rushing.
Closing days
It is important to remember that the Uffizi Gallery remains closed every Monday, following the weekly rest tradition adopted by many museums in Europe. Additionally, it also closes its doors on two special dates: January 1 and December 25.

If you are already in the center of Florence, the most practical and pleasant way to reach the Uffizi Gallery is by walking. From the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Duomo), which is one of the main landmarks of the city, you only need about 10 minutes on foot. Upon leaving the Duomo, head towards Piazza della Signoria, an iconic place where you will find the Palazzo Vecchio and many outdoor sculptures. From there, follow the signs to the Uffizi Gallery, located right next to the square. The route will allow you to enjoy the charm of Florence's historic center, with its cobblestone streets, local shops, and views of Renaissance architecture.

You can reach the Uffizi Gallery by bicycle. Florence has suitable infrastructure for cyclists, including bike lanes and limited traffic zones that facilitate cycling through the historic center. However, keep in mind that it is not allowed to enter the museum with bicycles. You must leave them in designated parking areas or permitted areas nearby before accessing the gallery.

Entry control: To access the museum, visitors must pass through a security check where backpacks and bags are inspected. Large objects, such as umbrellas, bulky backpacks, or any item that may interfere with the visit, must be left in the cloakroom.
Silence and respectful behavior: Visitors are expected to maintain a low tone of voice. Also, avoid touching the artworks or any disruptive behavior.
Food and drink prohibitions: It is not allowed to enter the museum with food or drinks. Inside the gallery, eating or drinking is also prohibited.
Recording equipment: The Uffizi Gallery allows photography without flash. But the use of tripods, selfie sticks, and any professional equipment is strictly prohibited without prior authorization.
Pets: Except for assistance dogs, pets are not allowed in the museum.
